Here we go again. It’s almost Valentine’s Day and you still haven’t thought of a gift. Ads follow you wherever you go, a riot of perfume, jewelry, makeup, and accessories of dubious taste. But you’re looking for something different, something to share with your significant other. “A trip?” Too hard to coordinate vacation times. “Dinner?” Too cliché. “A winery visit with a wine tasting?” Now, there’s something you don’t do every day.

At Casa Coppo, we want to give you the best kind of gift: an experience that—we hope—will stay in your hearts. Because no great love story ever started with a salad. Over Valentine weekend—February 13 and 14—our Underground Cathedrals (recognized in 2014 as a UNESCO World Heritage) will open its doors to all couples, with a small giveaway. If you come as a couple for the Classic Tour, your partner won’t pay for the visit and the tasting will be included (you can see more info on the tour on our wine cellar page).

A ONE-OF-A-KIND WINE TASTING

It will be a unique occasion. Not only will you get to discover the Coppo wine cellars, which go deep underground (over 40 meters), but you will also taste one of our most prestigious Metodo Classico wines. Only for St. Valentine’s Day weekend, all couples who visit will get to taste (among the other wines included in the tour) the Rosé Clelia Coppo, our sparkling wine that is obtained using the “ancestral” method.

To accompany the Clelia Coppo wine, you will also be served Moscatelli cookies, made from Moscato Moncalvina and produced specially for us by Ciardi, a historical bakery of Cori that has been baking sweets and goods by hand for three generations.
