The Coppo family history intertwines
with the development of the City of
Canelli, which in the early 1900s had
already established itself as the Capital
of Italy’s famous sweet sparkling wine
Moscato (Muscat). The region was also
rich in Barbera, but the family followed
the trail of sweet bubbles for a little over
a century and consolidated. Thus it is
under the auspices of Moscato that at
the turn of the century, founder Piero
Coppo begins producing sweet sparkling
wines that become a distinctive mark of
